Since its inception in 2014, U First has shared over 1 million hygiene Love Bags across 29 states. Our seven year journey has even taken us to Paris, France.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, U First has served over 500,000 hygiene “Love Bags” to our most vulnerable citizens.
In 2020, U First was blessed with a brand-new Ford Connect Cargo Transit Van by Media Mogul Tyler Perry. The local news covered our story and helped U First emphasize our need and desire to reach as many people living without walls as possible. Mr. Perry saw our story and the rest is history!
U First strives to impact the community by conducting monthly outreach events where we provide hygiene Love Bags to over 3000 men, women and children, including those in our local homeless shelters and those living without walls.
During times of inclement weather, U First contributes to City of Atlanta Warming Centers.
U First has created our offspring, U First Kidz. Through this amazing program we provide hygiene items to Care Closets for student in the Atlanta Public Schools who receive free or reduced lunch.
U First has been featured on numerous media outlets such as WSBTV, 11 Alive, AJC.Com, People.com, Good Morning America, BET, ET Canada, Kiss 104.1, and numerous others.
U First has been nominated and received recognition for a host of distinguished awards.
Received various grants and sponsorships from Delta Air Lines, QTS Data Center, State Farm Insurance, Bank of America, and AARP.
We know that there are abundant blessings in the making therefore, we are excited about our future and where God is leading us on this U First Journey to Love!
We serve our community with two major programs: "Taking Love to the Streets," where we deliver hygiene kits to homeless shelters and our most vulnerable citizens on the streets and "U First Kidz Closets," where we provide basic hygiene products to low-income, Atlanta-area schools.
Thank You to Aetna , Inc. for your sharing over 1.5 million facial masks with U First in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
U First, Inc., recently purchased a school bus to provide essential hygiene items, clothing, shoes, school supplies, food and love with children experiencing homelessness and Youth living in underserved communities.
Renovating this bus will give us the space, and the mobility we need to help children thrive. Our aim is to keep children in school, provide love, dignity and hope through mentoring and community outreach.
U First Kidz mission is to provide essential hygiene products to support and improve the health, self-esteem, and hygiene education of school-aged children and young adults in need.
U First donated over 100,000 facial masks to school children in CIty of Atlanta, Dekalb, Fulton, Cobb and other schools systems in an effort to protect our youth from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners recognized Project U for their efforts to preserve the health & dignity of those citizens in underserved populations and those experiencing homelessness and declared Wednesday, July 13 as Project U First Appreciation Day in Fulton County Georgia
U First Founder Erica Wright received an honorary doctorate degree in humanitarian from the Global International Alliance. A special Thank You to Dr. Sarah Hurd for nominating me and seeing my heart to be of service to the people who need us the most. She also received the Lifetime Achievement Award signed by President Joe Biden is such an amazing honor.

We did it! In 16 days, we drove cross country from Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama, Jackson, Mississippi, Shreveport, Louisiana, Dallas and El Paso, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, Deming, New Mexico, and Los Angles, California sharing hygiene Love bags with various shelters and our most vulnerable citizens on city streets. Driving back, we visited Amarillo, Texas, Flagstaff, Arizona, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Little Rock, Arkansas, Memphis, Tennessee and after 16 days on the road, we arrived home safely in Atlanta. We drove over 6,000 miles in a pandemic and shared over 13,000 hygiene love bags with people experiencing homelessness in 12 cities and 10 states
We did it! In 9 days we drove from Atlanta to New York a pandemic and shared 10,500 hygiene Love bags, 500 pairs of socks and 2,200 sanitary napkins with people experiencing homelessness. That’s 44,700 individual items! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Our board is made up of visionaries and active members of the communities that we serve. We strive to fight and advocate for the homeless through our ability to share love and compassion with others.
